Re: Is there an Android mobile app in the works?

We're struggling to bring out Audacity Version 2 on all three computer platforms, so I wouldn't be shocked to find no plans at all to bring out yet another platform. Unless you want to help us write it. Can you program?

Re: how do I play miked drum along with music file

You can make an excellent recording with the combination, but you probably can't listen in real time. It's called Multi-Track or Overdubbing. This document is under construction, but the basics are there. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/overdubbing/overdubbing.html If you had a special microphone lik...

Re: CREATING SEPARATE TRACKS

If you have a single stereo show with 8 different instruments in it like this... http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/Audacity1_playback.jpg Then that's the end of the story. You can't split individual instruments (trumpet, violins) out of a mixed show. If you have one show with 8 blue waves one above the...

Re: Residual channel noise

I think that's the limit of the currently available chipset. I can get amazingly low noise floors when the machine is paying attention to the S/PDif input, but the instant I switch to the stereo analog input....

Re: Flat lining when exporting from audacity project

I'm not talking about a laptop battery. The CMOS battery is the little watch battery on the motherboard that keeps the clock and computer configuration in memory while the computer is off. The clock being consistently off is a major danger signal. If the battery goes far enough down, it will kill th...

Re: transferring multiple tracks fro real Player

Two ways. You can use what you have now and the Time Shift Tool (sideways black arrows) to push track two to the right so it starts after track one. Then push track three to the right until it starts after one and two. etc. They'll merge when you Export. The other way is to select each track by clic...
