If you have FFMpeg installed correctly, it will let you Export advanced formats. Generate a three second tone or any short clip and try to export it as AAC or M4A or other advanced format. If you do not actually have FFMpeg, the export will fail.

Re: problems
mac laptop Which one exactly? I'm typing on an Intel MacBook Pro, 15". Apple > About This Mac > More INFO, Hardware. I don't know of any standard Mac that doesn't have a stereo Line-In. Sometimes you have to switch to it in Apple Preferences. Apple > System Preferences > Hardware > Sound > Inp...

Re: recording no level
Depending on which Windows, they had different panels for recording and playback. The Control Panel opened up in Playback and you had to know to click in a special place to get the recording panel. Does anything in here help? http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Tutorial_-_Copying_tapes,_LPs_or_minidi...

Re: Pitch match one song to another automatically ?
No analysis tools that I know of. If you could get one pure flute note performed long enough to send it through Analyze > Plot Spectrum, then you might be able to figure out where it went. The problem with analyzing a song is the overtones and harmonic generation. Each one of them gets analyzed. Thi...

Re: recording problem
You should be able to suppress it, hopefully without damaging the show too much. Noise Removal is a compromise. Much better to figure out what caused the noise and address it there.you should then be able to remove it.

Re: recording problem
Maybe not. It's really common to assume the audio input of a Windows Laptop to be Stereo Line-In. Most of them are not. Are you really plugged into the third, the blue Stereo Line-In connector in back of your Windows desktop?tape deck line out to computer line in.

Re: How to make voice in the call recording more clearer?
Both voices talking at once is in the same camp as trying to split apart individual instruments in a mixed song. You can't do either one. Noise Removal is only good when there is a single sound that's steady through the whole show like fan noise or an air conditioner rumble. Unfortunately, we take t...

Re: SD card in ZOOM H4 - poor signal level on recording
I can think of some wacky ideas. -- The smaller card automatically triggers compressed recording to maintain long recording times. -- What happens if he puts the smaller card back? Did he clean off the card connections with the larger card and now that they're clean, anything will work (error correc...

Re: Hello, recording problem.
The volume shown in the illustration is excessive. You should never have blue waves near "1" either direction. That can cause fuzz guitar distortion whether or not you're playing a fuzz guitar. As far as the pulsing distortion, you may be enjoying Windows trying to Help you. Roll down to W...
