Re: How to reduce reverb or echo?

I know of no way to get rid of echo and reverb -- either one. That's one of the fatal mistakes.

Did you Import the work or Open it? Audacity is not a terrific translation and conversion program. We generally warn that all your work should be in one standard before you try to edit it.

Re: saving files

First, stop saving files. Audacity will only produce a music file if you Export one. File > Export. After the blank dialog window comes up, you can call the work anything you want, but stay away from punctuation marks. DO NOT put dates in. 20120210 is today, not 2/10/12. Upper and lower case letters...

Re: Clipping Bar Does Not Show

You may not actually have waveform clipping. You only get the red clipping bars when the blue waves hit maximum on either side. They could look like they're clipping, but if they never actually touch +1 or -1, the red bars will not appear. This isn't as strange as you may think. If you plug together...

Re: How to make Talking Tom Cat sound by Audacity?

You could try the Vocoder tool. That combines two sounds in a better way than just mixing. this is one example.

You put the cat sound on one side and your voice on the other.

Did you have sound when you played back the AUP and then the WAV? When you record, you are supposed to get blue waves on the timeline and the red recording meters are supposed to jump like this...

Re: Clip Fix plugin- way to fix clipping, do a subtler effec

I know that one [raising hand]. If you set the US ANSI C16.5 VU meter... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VU_meter ... to "zero" tone and put show through it, the readings, given natural sounds (and not special effects) were almost always about 10dB or so louder than the meter reading. This ga...

Re: Removing Effects

You can't take echo out of anything. Echo is the wrong place is one of the good ways to kill your show. Koz
