Re: I have a file with 23 audio track but I can only listen
That's different from the question at the top. They're on the timeline and you can't hear them, or they never made it to the timeline? What format are the files? How did you get them into Audacity?I can only see the first 8 tracks

Re: Audacity Record Crash
Sorry, the Roland SP-404 is no longer available. We've left this page up for reference only. Check out the great alternatives on this page or call toll-free (800) 222-4700 to speak with a Sweetwater Sales Engineer about similar products. That makes it a little rough to get information on this thing...

Re: Recording Duration
What is the Audacity version number? All three numbers. I'm using 1.3.14.
What kind of computer, what operating system, etc. etc.
You posted in a portion of the forum that doesn't tell us anything about you.

Re: increase latency to reduce mic clipping??
I think you're still talking apples and oranges. Unplug the headphones and put them in the cupboard. Turn any speakers all the way down. Plug the mic and preamplifier in and make a recording such that the bouncing red sound meters and blue wave look like this. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/Audacity...

Re: Snowball Mic - Getting rid of unwanted noise?
The quality of the microphone and the directionality can be independent, although to maintain quality and directionality at once does tend to increase the cost. Microphones are rated on how well they reject sounds based on direction. Classic Radio microphones were ribbons and they would accept sound...

Can you install and use 1.3.14, 2.0.0, and 1.2.x on the same machine? Which variations?

Re: RCA RT-21
Floor-standing or rack mount? Which electronics did you get, the vacuum tube or the transistor? Did you get the edit block with it? I think those came in 1/4", 1/2" and 1" tape.

Re: Adjacent segments sometimes join
You can put labels at the join points. Control-B. Labels are sticky and they will guide your cursor to the edit point. You can also use multiple tracks. The show is in snippets and back to back in the show, but they're on different tracks top to bottom on the timeline. Use the Time Shift Tool to mov...
