Re: Equal volume across a long track of backing music
There is another way to do this. Chris wrote his custom compressor so he could listen to opera in the car. It's job is to even out volumes with look-ahead tools so it doesn't appear to be doing anything, but the show is magically even. Everything between full orchestra and one tenor in the south for...

Re: How to make an audio file have multiple "Streams"?
First I've heard of this, but there is documentation on Google. When importing some OGG audio files I found online, I see that it asks which of 3 "streams" I'd like to Import
https://xiph.org/ogg/doc/ogg-multiplex.html
Now you know as much as I do.
Maybe someone else will post.

Re: Recorded Audio at Higher pitch than normal
but at least that works... Good to have a desperation method available. You may not have to keep plugging and unplugging. Leave it in. When you get to a place you want to change, turn the Zoom off wait a bit and turn it back on. It should ask you if you want to record or transfer files. That may be...

Re: Recorded Audio at Higher pitch than normal
And the final proof can be recording a short performance on the H2n disconnected from the computer. Move the file over to the computer by either moving the memory chip, or reconnect the USB cable and configure the Zoom for file transfer. If you do this, remember to unmount the Zoom when you're done....

Re: Noise Floor passes in ACX test- fails in ACX
There is one other way you can pass ACX Check and still fail noise. Some USB microphones have a distortion I call "Yeti Curse" or frying mosquitoes. That's a cousin to Fingernails on Blackboard or Baby Screaming on a Jet. It's "legal" noise, but nobody is going to pass that on to...

I think we found it. That posting had overall quiet background sound, but with clunking and banging mixed in. The clunking and banging may not turn up in ACX Check, but Human Quality Control would just hate it.a sister posting to yours got rejected because of background noises

Re: Noise Floor passes in ACX test- fails in ACX
This normally wouldn't be a problem, but ACX is running in overload and if you violate any of their rules, it's out the door. I boosted the volume of the "silent" two seconds at the beginning of the piece. It's supposed to sound like gentle rain in the trees on a spring day. Shshshshshshss...
