Probably not as you run into the same problem of people trying to record Skype. All your sound pathways are already busy.

Re: Seeking Help on Streamiling Workflow
I'd like to be able to hit a key to set the start time during playback, then hit another key to set the end point. Is there anyway to do this with audacity? Those are Edit Markers as in a video editor. We've been requesting those for years. The best you can do is the labels, the label track and the...

Re: CAN"T HEAR PLAYBACK
Unplug your USB microphone or other USB device. When Windows sees a USB device, it tries to record from it and play back to it. Unplugging it should restore the older settings. You can also reset the Audacity device task bar to play to your speakers. http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Device_Toolbar...

Re: Audacity causes audio crackling
Can you hear the puzzled looks from where you are? When you do use Audacity, what do you use it for? It's possible your symptoms are caused by the system feeding back on itself; recursive audio pathways. switching on and off playback multi-streaming (which resets all audio). Describe that. You're do...

Re: skip tracks on cd
Does it do that on more than one CD player? It's not unusual to need to tune the CD burning. "Maximum Possible Speed" is not always the best speed to burn. Try slower speeds and drop by the office supply store and get a small pack of high quality, name-brand disks like Sony or TDK. More th...

Re: Need Help getting started
Audacity doesn't burn or play anything. You plug the player USB connection into the computer and let Win7 "Find it." Then you launch Audacity and change the device menu bar to be the same as the device. Sometimes it only says "USB Audio Device." That's close enough. Play a tape a...

Re: Extracting audio [complex]
Still, it's quite hard. Actually, it's nearly impossible. Nobody can resist messing with the instrumental minus the voices and that kills you when you try to use one to cancel the other. There were danger signs at problem one. Right away, one is not the other with pieces missing. By the time you go...

Re: Help Getting Started
I don't expect that's important information at this point. It might be. "Vocal Removal" fails a lot more times than it succeeds. (see attached). There is talk about deleting Vocal Removal from Audacity because people have so much trouble with it. So, to go on with your download. How much ...
