Re: Recording Piano using Audacity
While you could adjust Audacity to play at the same time it's recording, that generally comes out a fraction of a second late and it would make you crazy. I use a headphone "Y" cable. One side of the "Y" goes to the sound system or headphones and the other I plug into the compute...

Re: mike thru chourus pedal
with a good mike straight in, cheap lap top, fighting a losing battle, Maybe not so much. What exactly are the mic and laptop and how did you connect them? Plugging a "real" microphone into the Mic-In of a laptop should work, but there are a couple of things you need to be careful of. Koz

Re: I need some help! If it's possible.
That's an Audacity Project Manager file, not a sound file.
We may not need it. What are you using for a microphone and how is it connected to your computer? What kind of computer is it?
You probably can't fix this in post production. Microphone buzz is difficult to remove.

Re: How To Sync Voice Recording Playback
If you recorded your voice in perfect sync and it plays back out of step, that's recording latency which is an adjustment.

Re: FREE SOUNDTOYS Little Radiator Plugin
It's not free. "Free" is when you click and download one of our Audacity plugins. This "Free" requires a physical USB Registration/Copy Protection Key and an active account on SoundToys.

Re: No db graph information shown on recorded track.
Were you overdubbing? If you solo that track, does it play? Select the track and Effect > Amplify 1dB (anything to force Audacity to redraw the blue waves). Did either work?

Re: Export Multiple does not create WAV files.
Do you get one working WAV file if you Export Selected or just Export the whole thing? How big is the whole thing? There are some interesting limitations in sound formats. Koz

Re: Aannot record computer's sound
Recording yourself is a tricky dance between the operating system, the sound card and the driver software. We wrote a wiki on the common ways to get this to work, but some computers (increasingly common) just leave it out. http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Tutorial_-_Recording_audio_playing_on_the_...

Re: Old audacity for model GE4052
I can't see where a plain USB player should be particularly exotic, and I think you're using the phrase "download" in a funny way. You shouldn't have to find additional software on the internet (download) to get this to work. Sometimes we call it "capturing" a performance from th...

Re: Can't control input volume
How did you connect the ION turntable to your computer? You should only have one USB connection, not RCA cables and adapters, and you should be recording from the USB Audio Device, not Mix-Out or WAV-Out. Set this in the Audacity Device Toolbar... http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Device_Toolbar Or...
