Points given for making it through in one breath.
I can't do it, either.

That seems good. I think enough of the errors are gone. Go with that.COWS mastered 16th.wav

Re: Female voice quality - equalisation advice appreciated
Not all, surely? Pretty much. You show limiting to -3dB which is dangerously close to the limit and likely to trigger a violation. The Loudness setting at -18dB is at one end of the allowable range -18dB to -23dB. The numbers in your post are the absolute limits, not the goals. It's hard to deal wi...

Re: Female voice quality - equalisation advice appreciated
It's possible that I'm missing out a vital mastering stage. It's possible you're missing all of them. Screen Shot 2020-07-16 at 3.54.18 AM.png It's a Mastering Suite. A harmonious grouping. Shouldn't take them out of order, add any, or leave any out. Limit to -3.5 rather than -3.0 because the conve...

Re: Female voice quality - equalisation advice appreciated
I thought you meant leaving the mic where it is but rotating it some 30 to 40 degrees on its axis. That's dangerous. This is a directional microphone. Its desirable characteristics work straight in front of it. Any other orientation and the volume goes down and the tonal quality changes. More impor...

I suppose that could be upside down, but would it really make any difference, I mean other than not being able to breathe and your face turning red.
Can I use that?

Re: Increase the Volume for A Participant
There is a plug-in called Level Speech. https://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Nyquist_Effect_Plug-ins#Level_Speech I've never used it, but I think your job is pretty much exactly what it's supposed to do. This is not going to produce award-winning voices. All the background noises and trash are going t...

Re: Female voice quality - equalisation advice appreciated
And still too close to the microphone. This is the timeline at between 6 and 7 seconds. Note most of those blobs are little scribbles roughly centered about the mid point. That's normal voice. But that thing between 6.6 and 6.7 is not. That's the "P" in "Produced." On a larger so...

Sometimes I lose who'se talking to whom.
Apparently, I didn't present the ACX Audition Notes. You can submit a short test clip to them before you push a whole book up there. Saves enormous time.
