Re: How About A Reverb For *Musicians*
It wouldn't have to be the worlds biggest production either Yes it would. That's the problem. Rooms have infinite echoes. Literally. We have a joke about one of the production rooms where I work. You can clap your hands and come back after lunch and still hear the clap bouncing between the walls. W...

Re: Ampkit Link
I'm still foggy on what you want. The Amplink has a special plug to pick up the extra contacts and gold rings inside an iPhone. You can't put that into a straight PC soundcard. You should be able to jack an iPhone/iPad/Touch into your PC stereo connection and play shows into Audacity. The stereo con...

Re: during record cannot pause
Does the "P" key graphically press the pause button on the top when you press P?
If you record from something non-USB like one of the unconnected analog sockets on the sound card (you'll just get noise) does it still fail?
Has it ever worked?

Re: Corrupted files?
Describe the noise. HIss, hash, garbled garbage, tight high squeek. Terrific distortion? Any parts of the original show recognizable at all? Koz

Re: Skype recording edit separate channels
If you already had two separate people as stereo, use the drop-down menu to the left of the track and "Split Stereo Track." You can then edit and filter each side independently of the other and recombine them the same way. If you meant to say you had one track with two people mixed togethe...

Re: Register with 2 microphones
The may be interesting cross-language. Modern machines have the ability to combine two USB microphones using "Aggregate Device." You select "Aggregate Device" instead of Mic-In or Line-In and the system will deliver both microphone's sound. But. Because you're using two clearly s...

Re: iPad into PC mic?
Will I get sound using the headphone jack of my iPad and iPhone into my mic on my pc? -- Into the Stereo Line-In of my Macbook Pro? Yes, certainly. That's how I do most of my recording (you posted in the Mac forum). -- Into the Stereo Line-In of my large Deskside Windows machine. Yes, although the ...

Re: Noise removed in Audacity but not in exported file
I don’t know how to answer the first question of how much noise, but it’s easy to hear. Look at the bouncing green sound meters and tell us where they bounce during the show and where they bounce during the noise. You may need to expand the meter size to see any detail. http://kozco.com/tech/audaci...
