Re: Dj mixing and CUE in my headphones are slightly off.
USB Audio Codec is how your citronic digitizer would appear. That's perfectly normal. All of my 'simple' audio USB devices appear the same. It allows plug and play without installing software. Unfortunately, the delay you have now is perfectly normal, too. I would have said what you had before is un...

Re: Unusual click
You can get rid of that pause at silences in Audacity > Preferences > Recording > [ ] Sound Activated Recording (deselect). You will get a pop or click at every pause if the recorder has DC or battery voltage on it. You will not get a clean switch. You didn't say how you were getting between analog ...

Post the location of an MP3 that works perfectly. Koz
Re: Artifacts In Recorded Tracks (Sample Included)
I didn't get what you're recording. What-U-Hear points to something else. If you can't record the work, for example, on an internet site, where did you get the undamaged clip from? The story doesn't hang together. Koz
Re: focus
Are you an administrator on your machine or "lowly User?" Many times our corporate machines restrict users from doing any serious file management in an effort to prevent damage or break-ins. Koz

You can get production ambiguities like that if you try to save the corrections with the same file name as the original work. Pick a different name. Koz

Re: Splitting 1 file into 2
You should not be messing around inside the _data folder. That's the warehouse of stuff that the aup file uses to make your show. No sound snippets or _data folder, no show.

That's where I was about to go. What's the show? What are you trying to do? We can't tell from that list of failures.

Re: focus
I think y'all are talking about different things. Waxy, Steve et. al. are talking about working on the show while it's loading. I've done that myself. I think davexnet wants to go off and check email while it's loading and Windows focus is getting stuck. That is annoying. Audacity will prevent a com...

Re: distortion on record
If you have a desktop computer, it probably has a "real" soundcard in it and it has a blue Line-In jack. That's the one you should be using, not the pink Mic-In.
