Re: Unclosed token line / missing elements: never-ending pro
As a global concept, statements have to be opened and closed. WaveBlock Lucile Ball is required to be followed by, eventually, /WaveBlock Lucile Ball . That's the open and close. Peeling off statements may just make it worse. Fix the close, or instead, peel off an even number of opens and closes. If...

Re: saving files
You can get that if you use dates inside your filenames. Many computers hate punctuation marks in filenames. No periods, no slashmarks, etc. Upper and lower case letters, numbers, underscore and dash are the only unconditionally safe characters.

Re: Seem to be recording in mono
The Out Of Phase one is the effect of having one "microphone" wired wrong with respect to the others. It produces weird sound and if you're on headphones, my voice could be coming from behind you. It's intentional damage to illustrate a point. If you apply the Vocal Removal Tool to that cl...

Real Time Effects is a very popular Feature Request and will no doubt show up in a future Audacity version.

Re: Behringer UFO202
And no vocals? This is fascinating. We have a very similar problem in another thread and nobody's sure where to go with it. KozI have tried to record in stereo without the Codec and the recordings are dull and muffled.

Re: Seem to be recording in mono
That appears to be phase cancellation and channel mixing, separate but related problems. You did say something interesting. I can make a super case for this happening on a turntable. I wired up a turntable once wrong and got this exact problem, but not a cassette tape. You just plugged a player into...

Re: REQUEST: Split-delete silence plugin
Note that this is the exact place that many good ideas fall over. The normal timeline display only shows you the top 20dB or so of the 60dB show. The fact that you can still see waveforms in your "silent" illustration means this isn't going to work. Your "silent" isn't even close...

Re: Clipping/ Distortion
In addition, USB turntables typically deliver the USB audio bitstream completely corrected for RIAA distortion. Why are you going through another Phono Preamp? If the answer is Quality, then you shouldn't be using a USB turntable to begin with. The mechanical shortcomings of those -- bad tracking, s...

Re: REPLACEMENT FOR SKYPE RECORDER
Sorry. That's the internal forum for the elves. [email protected]#$%. I swear we published something about this -- really published it, not batted it around behind the curtains. Recording telephone calls in any form is really evil. People naturally assume you can "plug something into a phone" and everyth...
