Re: Cannot record from Tape player
You need to do a lot better than that. We need the step by step of how you connected everything. "I plugged the Left and Right out of the Delano III tape player to an adapter cable and plugged it into the Mic-In of my WinXP SP3 Lenovo laptop...."
Etc.

One of the early compressed video formats. 1. Multiple Sound files. Doesn't have to be MP3. We discourage MP3 for most uses short of offloadin...

Re: Few Audacity questions
1. Audacity > Preferences > Effects > [ ] Rescan VST... (de-select) 2. If you're using a USB microphone, the volume is determined at the microphone, not the mixer or Audacity. 3. That's "scrubbing" (like on a video editor) and it's a Feature Request for a future version of Audacity. While ...

Re: Opposite of Bass Boost?
This kills live recordings all the time. It's not unusual for the bass line to overload the microphone making anything else you do irrelevant. The blue line in the middle of the equalizer is a rubber band and you can click-set control points and pull them around to boost or dip groups of frequencies...
