Re: high frequency distortion

You'll need to do a lot better than that. Recording or playback? Both? What are you recording? Where did the show come from? If you're recording live sound, how? Exactly how? Microphone type, connections, etc.

Re: Redistributing Audacity

There's also a thing about mentioning the copyright, etc. etc., but I can't immediately find it, and in any event, I'm not sure it applies to you. Looking.

Re: help!

Re: Error: Can't find project data folder

Nowhere in there did you say that the _data folder was in the same directory or folder as the .aup file. That's required for them to find each other.

Re: Unwanted sound in recordings

Is it only buzzy when you export a WAV sound file?

You can get into trouble if you like to record at very low levels. This is normal.

Re: Unwanted sound in recordings

I am using the stereo audio input on my internal sound card. Does that mean you have a desktop computer? You didn't tell us very much about your setup. It also is present when using Audacity to generate a low frequency tone. That lets out the soundcard. a higher frequency component on the waveform ...

Re: cursor movement off screen???

Yes, that makes me crazy, too.

Audacity > Preferences > Tracks > [ ] Update Display while Playing (deselect).

That's in Audacity 1.3.14. Let's see if it carried.
