Re: Question about fixing audio from a concert
You explained it perfectly. No. The bass line at concerts is far higher than everybody thinks it is and it overloads recorders all the time. Once the overload is recorded, the damage creates new sound that trashes everything else. You may be able to get rid of the BOOM BOOM BOOM of the show with Eff...

Re: How to face with this challange?!
The best vinyl processing isn't inside Audacity. It's an outside software package called Click Repair and it's money-based software.

Re: Vocals question
You can totally do this. You can do it manually with the overdubbing/multi-track tools... http://manual.audacityteam.org/help/manual/man/tutorial_recording_multi_track_overdubs.html Or you can use software to "fill out" the music and make and make the vocals fuller and broader, but that's ...

Re: no record from in laptop audio
That's "Recording audio playing on the computer." Your software doesn't let you export or save a sound file? The Line-Out (headphone) connection on a Windows laptop tends to not match the Mic-In. They're not mirrors of each other. On a desktop machine, you can get Line-In and Line-Out and ...

Re: No signal seen or heard when recording
I have a Lenovo laptop--only a year old --good machine. Yes it is. Do you use Skype? Sometimes Skype will not put the sound system back where it was when it started. Skype takes over the sound system when it runs. It's one of the reasons it's so successful. Do you like to record internet audio? Tha...

Re: Could not open mp3 encoding library
I doubt you could do anything useful with that combination. Audacity 1.2.6 will not even open on some newer computers. Download and install Version2 along with the associated lame and FFMpeg.

Re: playback on HSS directional speakers
I don't think you have an HSS Speaker problem. You have a straight recording problem. Trying to record background birds chirping and wind noise followed by gunshots is a nightmare sound job. Nature doesn't fit in most recording systems. Do you already have the mixed track? As an experiment, I think ...
