Re: Unable to open lame or FFMpeg
I installed the lame software within its folder under "plug-ins" and I was this close to installing the FFMpeg folder when one of the production departments had problems and I had to leave. FFMpeg is a problem because it's not a single dylib. How do I deal with that? The Preferences will n...

Re: How do you convert your recordings to MP3's?
We can't see over your shoulder, so you need to tell us exactly where it fails and what it says on the screen when it does.
Starting with what you have now. What do you have now? What's the show? Is the music in WAV format on the timeline right now and does it play perfectly?

Re: scratching noise when recording
Do you find drivers that admit they know what Win7 is? Do any of the other Linyx services work?
On page 12 of the instruction book download, they give you a process to check the card using Windows Sound Recorder. I think Windows Sound Recorder still exists.....

Re: Unable to open lame or FFMpeg
Just for form. It says in the zip instructions that I am to follow the install instructions. What instructions?Otherwise, you will need the zips for LAME and/or FFmpeg from http://lame1.buanzo.com.ar/ and unpack the dylib files where you wish.

Re: Question about line-in on an iMac
I think he's misinformed. Traditionally, Macs have had a very well behaved Stereo, High-Level Line-In and no provision for built-in microphone save some Macs can use an iPhone headset, but that's like the batty aunt locked in the attic. We don't talk about her. I have, with these fingers produced mu...

Re: How do I import from my itunes library?
If you bought $.99 songs from the iTunes store, chances are good you have FairPlay Copy Protection on them and will not copy into other applications. The classic way to get round that is create a playlist, drag the songs to the playlist and burn the playlist to a CD. Then rip the CD music back to iT...

Re: Sound card crossfeed ???
I'm going with electronic radiation. While it is possible to get signals to go through the power line, it's extraordinarily difficult and equipment designed to do this reliably (X10 lighting controllers) fail frequently under the best circumstances. I have a notorious front porch light that has resi...

Re: Audacity pausing and slowing
It's still possible to overload a powerful computer. What are you doing in FireFox? How big is your Audacity show? If you watch a HiDef Stream in FireFox and try to play a 6-hour four-channel uncompressed sound show in Audacity, yes, you might run out of memory and something is going to suffer. Real...
