Re: Can't record from computer
What was the event? Did you upgrade from Windows XP to Win7? Recording from your microphone is normal, expected behavior. Recording from the computer is not. And recording from Skype is black magic. Were you able to get both sides of the conversation? That's most unusual and we usually tell people i...

Re: Chop/Flutter using Audigy 2 ZS Aux 2 Input

Re: Issue with playback
If you bought the $1.99 versions of iTunes songs, you should be able to just drag them out if iTunes and open them in Audacity. If you got the $.99 versions of the songs, then they have FairPlay® copy protection on them and they will not copy. The traditional way of getting those songs out of iTunes...

Re: burning music files to CD
I have transferred files from CD disk to the computer and made playlists in iTunes then burned them onto a CD disk successfully. Right. So you already know the basics of making a Mac produce a Music CD. Open your new music files (either AIFF or WAV) in iTunes, drag them to a playlist, and burn the ...

Re: Low sound and error message
How are you getting sound into the computer? Is it a laptop?
Edit > Preferences > Quality to 44100, 16-bit (not 32) > OK.
Edit > Preferences > Devices to Stereo > OK.
Try that to help the Sound Device error.

Re: Selection Jump
You can use the labels and label track to scan forward to the next clip. Place a label (Command-B on my machine. Tracks > Add Label) where you want each break. Tab then Enter to place the cursor at the new start point. Spacebar to start playing. There may be easier ways, but that works on my machine...

Re: Tracks missing from exported mp3 file
Muted tracks are not exported. Nor do they play. Take the missing piano part. That's on its own track, is mono, has its own blue waves and if you solo that track, the green play sound meter bounces somewhere reasonable -- not like, for example in the -50 range? If you grab the right edge of the met...

Re: Cannot Get Audacity to Record
So it was a USB microphone. It would have been good to know that.
