Take the dates out of the filename. Never put punctuation marks of any kind inside a filename. It drives the Mac nuts. Upper and lower case letters, numbers, dash and underscore are the only unconditionally safe characters. Today is not 5/22/12. It's 20120522. Use the ISO version of the date. This i...

Don't keep it a secret. What did the error say? Audacity Projects are perfectly forward compatible. Something else happened. Did you separate the AUP file and the _DATA folder? You can use the Zoom tools. Drag-Select a small portion of the show and Zoom To Selection Command-E. Zoom back out Full with Command-F. Zoom out slightly with Command-3. There are more and you can look them up, but I use those three so much I'm wearing out the keys.
