Re: USB Device Not Recognized
Did the player come with an install CD? Did you buy it new? I can't believe anything as simple as a cassette player is not recognized, but there it is. You might be able to go on-line and get device drivers for your computer so Windows knows that it is. Until Windows knows what's going on, Audacity ...

Re: Basic Questions
Few Audacity tools work in real time. You record the voices and analyze them later.
You still have to know how to record the voice. Koz

Re: Basic Questions
You might be able to use The analyze tools. Select the sound to be analyzed. Analyze > Plot Spectrum > Algorithm > Cepstrum. Cepstrum: The cepstrum of an audio signal is related to the spectrum, but presents the rate of change in the different spectrum bands. It's particularly useful for properties ...

Re: Advise from audacity
Are you sure you're opining Audacity? Audacity has no Streaming Engine. Also, even if you do have a streaming engine made by somebody else, Audacity does not mix sound in real time. Koz

Re: When recording internally right channel is always louder
Stereo-Mix, WAV-Out, and What-U-Hear are the tools that Windows and your sound card provide so you can record Sounds Playing on the Computer. If you can't find any of those "devices", recordings should be silent. how are you recording internal sound at all? Some computers cheat a little an...

Re: Vocal Remover
You also didn't say which Windows you had. Our Win7 machines have extensive special effects that you can add to the show on playback. I got burned once when one of the other techs left "Concert Hall" running by accident and I was doing sound tests..... "That can't be right. What the f...

Re: Vocal Remover
it just won't do it again to the exact music... You didn't say that earlier. Are you in fact using the Vocal Remover on a clip that used to work perfectly? I can tell you that the clip you posted has very serious phasing problems. The show changes direction abruptly as I wave my head in front of th...

Re: need help with audacity
It won't do a thing to the video, but it will slow down the audio. If you manage to capture a YouTube video, split apart the video and sound tracks and open the track in Audacity. You can use the "Change" tools. Effect > Change Tempo. Effect > Change Pitch. Effect > Change Speed. Koz
