Envelope Tool is F2. Selector (I-Bar) is F1.
That doesn't work on my machine because I have other functions mapped to those buttons.
I think we went through this a while back......

Re: Simple Audacity Forum Voice Test
All I did was open the file and used the menu on the left to Split Stereo To Mono. Screen Shot 2020-07-22 at 5.07.22 PM.png Then I X'd out the dead track. The track that's remaining plays perfectly on both left and right. Screen Shot 2020-07-22 at 5.15.11 PM.png There is one problem. See on the left...

Re: Simple Audacity Forum Voice Test
desire for nicer sound would lead to days and days of headache. Is this a bad time to tell you about Ian in Hollywood? We did get him recording successfully...after 39 forum chapters and over a year. You are the Artist, Recording Engineer, and Producer. People go to school for this stuff. As we go....

I do not understand what the problem is. I mastered Track5_mastered_forced mono.mp3 . It is, to quote Ms. Poppins, practically perfect in every way. Screen Shot 2020-07-22 at 4.52.51 PM.png Track5_mastered_forced-mono-Mastered.mp3 I also can't quite follow what you're doing. I'm going to look at you...

Re: Input signal comes and goes
Is the analog (or headphone) output OK? Does it have an analog or headphone output? These things have a philosophy problem. You're not buying it so you can leave it to your grandchildren. You're buying it so you can transfer the last tape and put everything in the trash. Sometimes these players die...

Re: Recovering Audacity .aup project files that were not saved
Time Machine backup Oh, right. I forgot. I'm the only breathing human that does manual Time Machines. That would do it, wouldn't it? Time Machine your way back to before the mistake and see what can be rescued. Have you ever pulled something out of a Time Machine backup? I remember going into a bac...

Re: ACX Check Issues
Time to get the thing going. The Audacity tools and techniques are based on our reading of the ACX specifications and publications. They didn't write the tools. When you submit something, it not only should pass ACX Check, it also must pass the ACX Robot which measures many of the same things, but ...

Re: passing ACX
There's also a trick to reading. Wear good quality, sealed on the head headphones while you perform and that will help you stay the same volume for a long read. Home readers may have problems here because you can't plug headphones into the computer. They have to go in the microphone, sound mixer, or...

Re: passing ACX
Do you have to read a chapter in three steps? ACX puts great value on having all parts of your performance match—or seem to. That's a lot easier if you read a chapter in one go rather than trying to break it up before and after lunch, for example. You illustrate the problem in your posted work. The ...
