Given the number of elves galloping to your rescue, I'd say no. Do you want to program it and submit the work for inclusion in Audacity?

Re: Portions of wave form have flat tops and bottoms
Actually, there are several questions. Mic-In is mono. Are you really getting Stereo and not Left on both sides? SoundCard makers are desperate to make Mic-In and Line-In the same because it's easy to build cheaply. They're not. One's Mono and the other Stereo and Line-In accommodates signals 1000 t...

Re: Will my sound card for multi channel work?
Windows drivers and software is probably not going to do it, but it might work if you install the latest Startech drivers and software.

Re: recording stops working
This doesn't have a wall power supply, does it? It gets all of it's operating voltages from the USB cable? Are you going through a USB Hub with other stuff? USB Audio hates that and it will put holes in your music. Try a different USB connection on your computer, or just pull and plug the existing o...

Re: recording stops working
Do you have Sound Activated Recording clicked on?
Edit > Preferences > Recording > Sound Activated Recording. If you have a quiet space in your recording, that's likely to stop recording and then pick up again.

Re: Quiet Recording
Does this mean I can't even use skype to talk to people (not in a call, just using chat) while recording my voice? Skype is a special case. Skype became the raging success it is by viciously taking over the sound services of your machine. If you do force recording (as Steve, above) you will likely ...

Re: lost half my recording
Probably not. When Audacity encounters a full drive it starts over. So at some point, Audacity started overwriting -- stepping on -- the beginning of the show. This isn't the only thing that happened. Windows may start acting funny and you may lose other work. You should take steps right away to mov...

Re: Bug affecting Local Area Connection
512 is a very restrained amount of memory. I'm guessin' there can't be anything else running on the machine when you capture or manage sound. You could have another interesting problem, too. Audacity is not bashful about using all your memory if it needs to. If you have a bad stick of memory up high...

I cant figure out how pitching things works. Select the music or just select the track and you'll get the whole thing. Effect > Change Pitch. That's it. The music will pitch up or down the amount you selected. As I get the tone of these questions, no you can't start out a woman and make yourself in...

OK. Basics. Describe exactly where the music is coming from.
