Re: Brand New Mic. Need help with using it?
I just need a cheap Preamp dont I? There's a cheap preamp inside your soundcard/laptop, assuming a Windows machine. I don't know that we ever said that in English words. Most Macs don't have one. That's actually the correct lead. Where did you get it? Those are extraordinarily hard to find. So our ...

Re: Brand New Mic. Need help with using it?
No. That amplifier adapts an unbalanced microphone that you don't have to a high-level line-in that you probably don't have, either, and uses an external power supply that you have to buy. Those are the cheap MicPre and USB adapters. That's a lot of electronics to jam into a simple device. This will...

Re: Brand New Mic. Need help with using it?
OK. I figured out a way to do it in common adapters and cables. The guitar people frequently have a microphone 1/4" plug for their amplifiers, so they use a cable like these... http://www.cwc-group.com/xlr3fecowise.html http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103835 All you need ...

Re: Brand New Mic. Need help with using it?
Well, yes that is a MicPre. Only a Mic-Pre. No power supply and no box. Are you good with soldering and electronic tools? It doesn't have a digitizer and it doesn't directly connect to your microphone. Just thinking about this, you already have an adapter cable that's wired wrong. All you need is so...

Re: Music Doesn't play in CD Player
toilets have lids, which are intended to be closed when not in use. You don't keep your phone in your pants pocket, do you? how are your eight-tracks holding up? Only two left. When I drove from Washington DC to Los Angeles (for the last time), the Cadillac Seville had an 8-track. It worked, too. B...

Re: 24bit file selection output coming out as 16bit
Actually, that's a well known psychophenomenon. I get called to put out brush fires all the time and I know that in a large percentage of the time, the problem will be gone when I get there and I have to reassure everybody that they're not wasting my time. When you experience a problem or some defec...

Re: Music Doesn't play in CD Player
Read the instructions for Windows Media. The last three or four Windows Media versions had the ability to burn music to a Music CD. You may not have to buy a thing. iTunes will do it, too. It's supported software and it's a free download from Apple.

Re: Music Doesn't play in CD Player
Yes, and they're good to go until you drop your phone/iPod into the toilet. So there's all your addresses and music slowly sinking to the bottom. I'd certainly like my older truck (lorry) to accept a connection from my iPod, but all it does is play Music CDs, so that's it for me for a while. The nex...

That looks amazingly like a Shure SM58 rock concert microphone, I'm sure on purpose. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/search.php?s=Shure+SM58&rkg=1&utm_source=MSN&utm_medium=PPC&utm_campaign=livesound&utm_term=shure_sm58 Anyway, the signal at the bottom of the microphone is reeeee...

Re: How to preserve original file characteristics when joini
the resulting file retains the characteristics of the original files of which it is comprised. You want a WAV editor, not Audacity. Audacity converts all incoming work to a very high quality internal sound format, edits, and then converts again during export. There is no guaranteed relationship bet...
