Re: I need simple way to correct while recording voice
That's called Punch-In and no, Audacity doesn't do that. You can set a label, Tracks > Add Label or whatever your hot key is and go back later and fix it. Koz

Re: input volume level
Did you load the software drivers that came with it? USB connectivity allows for ease of recording using a single cable to record your L/R stereo mix direct to your computer. So we know that it's not a digital multi-track mixer. It's stereo. Do you have anything on your stereo output bus? We have la...

Re: Mixing the same track
All Audacity does is add the two shows together. That's a 6dB change -- up. If either show was over -6 when you did that, the show will probably overload and clip. You can try to reduce both shows 6dB with the Amplifier tool before you start messing with them. That's a pretty good idea with any kind...

Re: Create harmonics or something isolate transmission whine
Try Effect > Noise Removal. You select part of the show with transmission whine and no voice at all and make that the Profile. Then select a portion of the show with voice plus transmission and apply the filter. It will try to remove the whine from the show -- as long as the bus doesn't change speed...

Re: Create harmonics or something isolate transmission whine
I thought I had you right up 'till the last sentence. Why would you want to generate transmission whine? Anyway, the answer to both questions is no. You can't get rid of a moving target. If you had one and only one noise or interference -- we use air conditioner whine as an example -- then you can t...

Re: Creating A Click Track?
Does Analyze only have three things in it instead of 8? Shucks. We had this question not too long ago. I don't remember what the resolution was. Our listings have a light gray line and everything below the line are special. On you they're missing. Try Audacity > Preferences > Effects while I look. Koz

Re: FINDING AUDIOS
No, and for reasons that may affect other programs as well. It's not enough for the sounds to be the same. For a simple comparison program, the actual data has to be the same, too. This is where MP3 kills you and Audacity isn't far behind. MP3 scrambles the data each time you make a new file, so fro...

I do not wish to get banned like others Which others? I can only remember one banning in a very long time, and that wasn't for discussing the significance of a position or technology. You will get quickly banned if you insist on selling us male enhancement products.... Since I couldn't exactly foll...

Re: Mac and tape to mps converter CD
Most Macs will not play small format CDs. The really early iBooks would do it and the very large Mac Pros with standard optical drives will do it, but not the MacBooks, MacBook Pros, iMacs, Airs, and any Mac with a slot load. If you have a Mac with a drive that will handle the smaller disk, then it ...
