Re: Making a loop sound clean

The top edit is a bad one and will sound funny or click at the edit point. The bottom edit should go by with nobody noticing anything wrong except the pitch of the tone changed.

Re: Making a loop sound clean

Now that I'm holding the actual sound files I can tell you they're heavily overloaded, clipped and damaged. So they're technically out of natural sound specifications and you should probably fix that before you start complaining about sound aberrations The whole track is an aberration. If you happen...

Re: Reaching for Highest Quality possible in Audacity

Also, for going for high quality, is the mic ports on a laptop suficient for plug in, or should I use another port/connection on my com for quality, like a MiDi plug or port MIDI is the connection your computer uses to push a key on your musical keyboard. That's it. If your keyboard makes a sound t...

Re: Making a loop sound clean

Are we listening for a click at the beginning and end of the clip and the whole loop, or a click at each loop point?

Re: Making a loop sound clean

I hear no damage or disturbance in the looped clip. There is a very minor character change that sounds like it might be a bad valve or bearings or something, but it's in the clip five or six times, so that's not it. Are you involving MP3 anywhere in this process? MP3 has frames and only cuts on the ...

Re: extracting multiple noises from a single track

I note that there is a lot of people who seem to be able to isolate / remove vocals or bass etc from music. A lot of people asking about it and seem to be making it work. Taking the bass out is the digital equivalent of turning the tone controls on a stereo system. Nobody has to identify which bass...

Re: Random Audio Appears When Exporting

It's a little fuzzy: Your exported WAV actually has an extra musical drum beat in the song, or it's just slightly longer than you thought it was going to be? You said extra beat where there should be silence. Actual silence as in a data track with nothing in it, or you just left a blank hole expecti...

Re: Random Audio Appears When Exporting

You can tell by all the elves racing to your rescue that this one isn't easy. You appear to be doing everything perfectly correct, but it doesn't work. I need to go back and read that again. Do the WAV files play correctly anywhere else? Do they play on you mom's computer? Your sister in Schenectady...

Re: Fit Vertical

I'm in production mode, not diagnostic mode, but I turned on that selector and stopped losing work beyond the graphic border, so it must be working. I'll do actual cause and effect testing now that my jobs are out the door.

Re: poor quality second track in over dub

One more. Do you have Just the Microphone selected in the Device Toolbar? You should be using a real touchable device like Mic-In and not one of the software Made-Up devices like Stereo Mix.
