Re: Reducing Harshness of Booming Vocals
As for listening to my voice while I'm recording it, not sure if that's going to happen. Seems very annoying, especially with a very slight latency. Right. That's why you monitor either at the microphone... http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/samsonGTrackConnections.jpg Or at the mixer or with y...

Re: Reducing Harshness of Booming Vocals
Even though human hearing goes down to 20 or so, there's not much of value down at the last few octaves. I have three mixers (over time) that have 80Hz, 100Hz and one that switches between 40/80/160. 160 is very noticeable, but if the options is getting a voice track in a high wind or not, you use t...

Re: Converting Triangle Wave to Sine?
So you want a tone as irritating and attention-getting as possible. That would do it, particularly if some of it ends up in the 3000 Hz range. I was thinking about this. I don't think you would ever get one tool to do it -- it requires multiple steps and processes. Maybe the worst part of the puzzle...

Re: Converting Triangle Wave to Sine?
It shouldn't be that hard to do. Select a frequency just higher than the fundamental and apply the Low Pass Filter at that frequency. That should strip off all the upper harmonics leaving a single sine wave. It should work on square waves, too. Same reason. Both square waves and triangle waves are s...

Re: 4 second delay? when overdubbing/ Audio Problems
That's usually a computer that can't keep up. Overdubbing requires that the computer play at least one track in perfect order and also run the record system to lay down the next track. Two real-time jobs at once is rough for computers to do. There is no time to stop and take a breath. This has never...

Re: Removing Clicks (But I come with a picture! ;) )
Is this a one-off show? You've been doing this successfully for months and this one and only show had a data transfer problem? Koz

Re: Removing Clicks (But I come with a picture! ;) )
I know this is one of those oft-asked questions. Actually, nobody has ever asked about clicks in a 6-track show before. Most of the click removal stuff has to do with transferring vinyl and is the result of cat-hairs in the groove, so unless you have a cat these tools aren't going to work for you. ...
