The computer connection -- assuming a Windows PC -- is the Behringer UCA202. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/peaveyUCA202Lenovo.jpg $30 usd That's it. Once it's digital, the computer ...

Re: Removing Vocals But Keeping Hook (Chorus)

Not in Audacity, or not without a lot of editing depending on the song. Vocal Removal is a very simple arithmetic tool and it's possible to outstrip its abilities very quickly. In general, past simple vocal removal, you can't take a mixed song apart.

Re: Sudden Loss of Sound From Small Board

Again, this particular USB adapter will do a headphone mix of the track you made yesterday and your new track today so you can do a good musical mix for overlaying multiple layers of sound. Not all adapters will do that, and you can't do it in the computer. Koz

Re: New install, no sound on anything

We're working on history. People post all the time with USB Turntable problems and many of them are traceable directly to the bad quality of the turntable itself. Many of them have terrible tracking, skating, and stylus pressure adjustments and all sorts of electrical problems, audio distortion, hum...

Re: Sudden Loss of Sound From Small Board

You may have fried the Mic-In of your laptop. A very noisy, buzzy show, or noise-only can be the protective shield of the audio cable not connecting all the way through to the soundcard. Start recording in Audacity and mess with the cable were it goes into the computer. Is there anywhere it more or ...
