Re: PAUSE icon appears everywhere at screen instead of other
Since this is a forum and not a help desk, we need to keep the conversation here. I defaced your email address because it's dangerous to post that on the forum. We get a great many harvesters looking for new addresses to send trash to. If you're really using Audacity 1.3, it is a good idea to upgrad...

Re: Sound help for church.
People have been known to post a still image of, say, the church on YouTube, and post the sound track behind it.

Re: Trying to fix a horrifically bad music recording
Those are two valid tricks, by the way. Amplify the noise sample to -1 (not 0) and copy/paste so it's longer and the profiler has more to chew on.

Re: Trying to fix a horrifically bad music recording
Probably not. There's a big difference between what you consider "noise" and Audacity. Noise is not "whatever I don't want." The sound behind the singer is not noise. This interference is constantly changing and noise can't do that. We can't get rid of noise in a moving car for t...

Re: can't save recording - "mute" message!
Two common problems are not hitting Stop before you try to export, and trying to use punctuation marks in the filename. Earlier Audacity versions also had problems with putting some characters in the metadata panel. Are you sure they're using Audacity 2.0?

Re: Adding Space In an Existing Song
Without knowing any more than that, import the performance to Audacity and Import the music bed. Mute the performance track and play the music bed until you get the in and out points of your edit. Drag select between them and Copy. Mute the second track and unmute the performance and figure out wher...

Re: audacity in epub
Import your show onto the timeline, drag-select the portion you want and File > Export Selection. If it's difficult to find either selection point, you can drag select around the point you want, zoom in and play, drag select and zoom in and play until you see it, and place a label at that point. Tra...

Re: Sound help for church.
Is it possible to both record and livestream at the same time? I'm going with yes, but I don't know how. On the linux-based systems, you can totally run a web server in the background and touch up your Photoshop portrait and calculate a spreadsheet at once. You could run into problems if you tried ...

Re: Sound help for church.
Generally, you post the finished show and let somebody else stream it. If you do it yourself, you're going to be limited to the upstream speed of your internet, which unless you're a corporation, is usually slightly better than dialup and changes in capacity over the day. it does have a standard sou...
