Re: Can't disable "Save Changes" popup
Maybe I'll just get the source and fix it myself. And be sure to post back when you do. Remember this is a forum, not a help desk. problem associated with the config data. It's possible, but I don't think so. If you have a Project in any form and you don't expressly save it, you get the message. Yo...

Re: moving music from i-Tunes to audacity
If they're protected songs, you can make iTunes create and burn a music CD and then make Windows Media rip the CD back into songs. Or you can get your computer to record internal sound. You still have to play the music in real time, but it eliminates the CD step. Protected songs will not just copy o...

Re: Meter toolbar only shows left channel
No, they won't. That's what happens when you plug something into the Mic-In of your laptop. Mic-In is mono, not stereo.

Re: Microphone too quiet on new computer
Someone will correct me, but on Macs, once you create the digital bitstream, the volume is fixed and that's the way it is. Not so in Windows. I believe you can change the volume of the performance in the Windows Control Panels before Audacity ever gets to chew on it. Did you look there? There's no b...

Re: Can't disable "Save Changes" popup
Yes, it is. It's burned into the architecture. Sometimes you will do something that doesn't seem to warrant Project management and it will ask you anyway. Old complaint.it is extremely inefficient for me to click "no" a thousand times..

Re: optimum settings for record
You mean you want to record internet music, right? Very low quality almost always means you were recording your laptop microphone listening to your laptop speakers. Neither of those is particularly high quality and when you put them together it can be pretty nasty. The best way is to get the compute...

Re: recording with reverb
Audacity doesn't do anything in real time except record, play and some timer functions.

Re: Noise Removal Not Working
Next time before you take a profile, Effect > Amplify > OK the sample first. That will boost it up to the maximum you can do without distortion. Then take the profile then UNDO your way back to normal. Then select the area of the show to be reduced (don't do the whole thing at first) and Effect > No...

Re: Random static when recording through USB mixer
If you have Playthrough selected and you hear problems, it could be happening on either playback or record. Playthrough is stressing your machine because it has to run both directions in real time. Is the actual show becoming damaged?
