I didn't completely follow that, but yes. You can set "Labels" in Audacity and they become magnetic or sticky when you scan through the show.

Re: How to convert a V2.0 project to mp3 if .aup is lost?
Assuming you cleaned up your drive to have enough room for the repaired show... The _DATA folder is the pile of screws, nuts, and bolts that the AUP file uses to build the show. The AUP file is the master control project manager. Without the AUP file, it's going to be really difficult to recreate th...

Re: Stereo Question
to a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS sound card in my Win7 laptop. Did you miss a word or two? The Mic-In of your laptop? Most Windows Mic-In are mono, not stereo. You're watching "Left" of the stereo show duplicated to the right. The Right music is discarded. There's also possibly distortion t...

Re: Inconsistant Noise Removal
apply it to a copy of a raw track This is where we start getting very particular about terminology. You are not using "raw" format sound. The files are recorded in wav format 44.1 kHz - 16 bit You're perfectly correct that the background noise of the Zoom, the white, rain in the trees, hi...

Re: Just bought the behringer guitar link interface audacity
Sometimes Audacity will try to establish a connection with a sound device at the internal sampling rate of 32-floating, and not 16 bit signed. Go into Audacity Preferences, Quality and change to 44100, 16-bit, restart Audacity and try it again. Remember to have the USB device already connected when ...

Re: Inconsistant Noise Removal
These are the fun ones. You're doing everything perfectly and exactly correctly in every way...and it doesn't work. That just means we're all looking in the wrong place.
I gotta leave for a couple of hours. I'll read over this again when I get back.

Re: bypassing USB port for USB turntable
You still need to forget Audacity for a while. Leave it closed. Connect the turntable. Let Windows chew on it for a minute. In Windows: Start > Control Panels > Audio (or Sound) > Recording. Look for a listing for USB Audio Device, Audio Codec, or something similar. If you don't have that, then Wind...

Re: Audacity adds hiss to export.
Whenever you change any sampling, you can get errors that create sounds that didn't used to be there or other undesirable effects. For one famous example, Music CD standard 44100 sampling won't do mathematically correct sound much past 16 KHz. Add a little noise and it goes easily beyond 20KHz. Samp...

Re: Audio Interface recognized but no audio
In Windows 7, don't you get a little sound meter in the Sound Control Panel as a diagnostic aid and help in troubleshooting? The first thing that Audacity does when it wakes up is ask Windows what sound services and devices are available. If your sound device isn't in there waving, then Audacity is ...

Re: sudden appearance of recording latency
You have one of the certified chains of equipment that allow you to do perfect, no compromise overdubbing/sound-on-sound. The trick is you can not monitor sound from the computer, it is required you listen to the X2U. It will do the sound management for you. http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Overdub...
