Re: New to podcasting. questions.
Almost anything will work because that's not the problem people run into them they start podcasting. You need to be careful about the room you're recording in. Omnidirectional microphones pick up all the actors -- and the reflections and echoes of the room. This was a production mistake, but I saved...

Re: I can not "hear" Audacity files

Re: Harmonic Number Scale for Frequency Analysis
Past the engineering school debate that "1" is not the "first harmonic" at double the frequency.... This may be far easier than you think by setting Analyze > Plot Spectrum to linear instead of log. Harmonics appear as a straight comb left to right and it's a simple matter to set...

Re: Compatibility

Also, how are you connecting? I have 786/3000 DSL Extreme at home and a minimal firewall.
Are you using a virus software?

Re: Tuning up a deep voice
it's one of those cheap desktop mics. Like the Logitech Desktop Microphone? http://www.logitech.com/en-us/webcam-communications/microphones/usb-desktop-microphone I have one of these and did a sound test or two that I now can't find. As I recall, $19usd. Slightly forward which you can cure with a &...
