Re: Sampling rate

Speed changes, stuttering, gaps, holes, gritty sound, and playing off pitch are almost all symptoms of a machine running short of resources. When you overdub, the computer has to play back all your old tracks exactly perfectly correctly and also record the new track with absolute accuracy. This is n...

Re: Sampling rate

The existing tracks were imported WAV files and show a sampling rate of 44.1kHz according to the track bar. Audacity does not do "Clip INFO." You need to do an INFO outside of Audacity to see what you actually have. Audacity does very serious conversions on Import and immediately forgets ...

They're even smaller and lighter -- and cheaper. http://lifehacker.com/5879232/the-best-voice-recording-app-for-iphone http://www.recordertheapp.com/ That one has ...

Re: Help with Noise Removal

The odd whomping noises during the words I suspect are the performer too close to the microphone. Nobody can cure that although you might help with the 100 Hz High Pass Filter.

Re: Help with Noise Removal

Re: Channel Mapping question

The rear speakers sound a bit weak

Re: ALAC codec for Audacity?

Re: Phone recorders quality

I use my mobile phone to make voice recordings, Which one do you use that doesn't work? Yes, recording a telephone of any sort is a frequently asked question. The two foolproof ways are Pamela and Total Recorder, the Skype recorder software (Windows only) and a real broadcast telephone hybrid and c...
