Yes, scrubbing, as anyone who has edited video will tell you, is insanely handy. It's a very frequently asked question.

Re: Audacity error importing wav from REAPER V3.0
You can have a WAV file and not have a Microsoft WAV file, the most common version. Also given Windows, you may not have a WAV file at all. You can force Windows to show you what you really have by revealing filename extensions. -- Hidden File Extensions -- Start > My Computer > Tools > Folder Optio...

Re: microphone removal noise problem
This may not be an Audacity problem. Audacity only records what the computer presents to it. It doesn't process or filter in real time and you cannot use effects during recording. If you like to record internet audio, the settings for that may cause feedback if you unplug your microphone and the bui...

Re: Cannot hear some portions of audio
You can get that effect if you edit sound that is out of phase and then listen on a mono sound system. Play this short test track. http://www.kozco.com/tech/LRMonoPhaset4.wav If you have the stereo/mono phase problem, the fourth segment, the out of phase segment will vanish. So you may have two prob...

Re: 2.02 tracks return to zero when exported
If, for example, you time shift a track to match another track, exporting that one single track will make the time shift vanish because there is literally nothing there between zero time and the first note as long as the reference rack is missing. I thought they all worked like that, but maybe not. ...

Re: Removing main vocals
You cannot do it by bandwidth. Because of harmonics and overtones, most musical instruments and voices have similar bandwidths even when they're playing different notes. This is the bandwidth of "G" three octaves down on the piano. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/piano_G1.jpg That's one sin...

Re: Converting multiple *.CDA's to 1 MP3 file
They're not actually CDAs. CDAs are just pointers to the real music on the disk. Music CDs have a very severely stripped down filesystem in order to save as much space as possible. Did you notice that if you play a CD on a non computer player there are no music titles? That's because there isn't roo...

Re: How do I lengthen the end of my track?
You should never save new work on top of old. Always use fresh, new filenames, and keep a protection copy of the original work.

Re: How do I lengthen the end of my track?
That sounds like straight editing. You drag-select the part of the end of the show you don't want and press delete. Export what's left. Another option is to place a label at the beginning of the show and the cut point, drag select between those two points (they're magnetic and sticky) and Export Sel...
