Re: Can't turn playthrough off when recording
But again, if the Zoom was set up correctly, the singer would get two performances in the headphones, one delayed with respect to the other. That's not the case -- apparently. Koz

Re: Recording from a microphone and from skype- please help!
The really, really, best way to do this is to locally record very high quality voices of both parties. Use Skype or cellphone just as coordination, not the actual show. At the end of the show, one person sends the high quality voice file to the other for combining into the final show. Done properly,...

Re: Recording from a microphone and from skype- please help!
The best way is to install the software designed to do this. Pamela Professional and Pamela Business will do that as will Total Recorder. http://www.pamela.biz/en/download/ The lower two licenses have operating restrictions. http://www.totalrecorder.com/ http://www.highcriteria.com/ There was anothe...

Don't use MP3 for any production work. Do this in addition to transferring the Project files and folders. Audacity should not care...

Re: Can't turn playthrough off when recording
Check that "Listen to this device" is not selected for that device. Pretty much why I want a plain, uncomplicated, computerless recording. I think we're going to get surprises. See: I tried recording internet and got feedback. We're trying to troubleshoot a complex interconnected system. ...

Re: Can't turn playthrough off when recording
So disconnect the USB or turn the computer off And that's all you need to do. You can leave the guitar system connected just as you have it. Getting an echo while monitoring from the Zoom headphone connection is very concerning. Isn't Windows sound fun? You are experiencing one of the reasons that ...

Re: Can't turn playthrough off when recording
I'm using the Zoom as a direct line input, not the microphone Which explains how you were able to sub the Behringer UCA-222 for the Zoom. What 's upstream from the Zoom? In detail. I don't know you ever said, past someone being a very good guitar player. The reason for the Zoom headphone connection...
