Re: finding and marking small gaps
The vinyl recording people have the same problem. The "silence" between the cuts isn't silent. It still has vinyl noise and cat hair pops. Pay attention to the green sound meters instead of the blue waves. You might consider making them a lot bigger so you can see what's going on. Grab the...

Re: how to connect M-AUDIO Ozonic with Mixer?
Neither of the Behringers will manage MIDI and it's a really good bet your Windows machine will not handle FireFire. Why are you convinced you need that much equipment? Any musical keyboard will connect headphone out to one of the High Level X1204 inputs, plug several nice analog microphones such as...

We're unlikely to give you a College Level Course in audio editing from one forum posting. However the documentation elves have been busy and we have tutorials on basic editing. http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/tutorials.html There are also links at the top of this forum to other parts of the do...

Re: Preserving quality with amplify effect
The dithering is there because Audacity works internally at 32-bit floating, not 16 bit. So everything is a conversion. If you were reasonable with your capture settings, I doubt you would hear any problems. People who get into trouble are the ones with very serious volume problems and the ones tryi...

If you mean "Just Left," yes. The drop-down menu to the left of the track has "Split Stereo Track."

Re: Unable to hear music after exported to ITunes
Close Audacity and open it up fresh and open the WAV sound file. Do you have blue waves and can you play the show?

Re: Help with sending files!
You can send an Audacity Project by including the AUP file and the _DATA folder. The AUP file is the Audacity instructions what to do with everything inside the _DATA folder. When you play the Project, both the file and the folder have to be in the same place, location, or folder. You can still mess...

Re: windows 7 audacity 2.0
Vocal Removal fails a lot more than it succeeds. It's not unusual for you to have a bunch of songs and only the one that matches the one on YouTube works. Koz

Re: windows 7 audacity 2.0
We get a lot of spam generators looking for fresh email addresses, so I removed yours. You will not get active filters or tools if you pause the show instead of stopping it. Are you trying to preform Vocal Removal or Karaoke? You don't need to go through all this, there is a Vocal Removal tool that ...
