Re: recording with electro-acoustic guitar
You should take this in steps. Can you get the interface SIG light to come on without turning the OL light on? Bigger interfaces would have an actual volume meter here, but we can go with that. Overload is going to happen at this interface step, not in Audacity. Guitar pickups of all types can produ...

I don't know that EPUB is the answer. That seems to be almost exclusively for printed pages...
KozEPUB also requires that PNG, JPEG, GIF, and SVG images be supported using the mimetypes

Re: How do you allow the user to skip to the next section
Audacity is a terrific program for recording your voice. But everybody is asking for something that doesn't exist. You produce a series of sound files in audacity, chapter1, chapter2, chapter3, and the player plays them in order or allows you to skip around. It's not burned into one big MP3. In the ...

Re: searching for an answer
Yes, it would, but that does work. You need a cable like this. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/RCAMiniStereo.jpg ..and that should go into the blue connection of your sound card. That's almost always stereo Line-In. Then tell Audacity to record from Stereo Line-In and set volume levels. You can r...

Re: Suddenly, poor quality
headphone out on the recorder into mic in, into Audacity on the laptop. That's the first problem. The Mic-In on most laptops is mono, not stereo and very prone to distortion. We recommend the UCA202 (or equivalent) for a good stereo Line-In. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/peaveyUCA202Lenovo...

Re: How to save a mp3 in a lower quality
If you imported it into Audacity and exported it again, it's automatically at a lower quality, but the same filesize. To get a smaller file and very much lower quality, File > Export > MP3, Options. Audacity default is 128 and that's good quality. Minimum for a stereo show is 64. minimum for a mono ...

Re: Lag and phase shift while recording in Audacity
on my laptop. How big and old is the laptop? If you can't make a simple recording, you're never going to manage overdubbing sound-on-sound. That depends on perfect playback and record at the same time and critical timing settings to avoid latency and delay. Has any of this ever worked, or you just ...
