Re: Locate voice in noisey recording

GOPR0698.mp3 I got lucky. That's two filters. Effect > Filter Curve > Manage > Factory Presets > Telephone Filter. I increased the steepness of the left and right sides to get rid of more trash. Screen Shot 2020-08-10 at 10.21.42 AM.png Then I drag-selected some of the better behaved trash and used...

Re: Help with Aubse / harasment group using subliminal s

Re: How to copy vinyl records to your MAC without USB?

It is possible to go direct from an analog turntable to the stereo Line-In. You can force that to work, but it's not optimal because Phono-In is a special connection and then there's the RIAA compensation on top of that. And you can't change the volume. Messy. Don't do that.

Re: How to copy vinyl records to your MAC without USB?

If you have an older Mac or a current Mac Mini, you have an analog stereo connection. https://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/MacLineIn-650.jpg A simple analog adapter cable will do it. https://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/RCAMiniStereo-650.jpg That's how I transferred all my 45s. In my case, an ...

Re: Is it possible to change volume levels during a recording?

I think that's two different questions. Once you have all the parts of your song properly recorded, you can change the mix during editing to make the volumes whatever you want. The Envelope tool (two arrows and bent line) will allow you to change the volume of any instrument wherever in the song you...

Re: Submitting an ACX Audition for your own book

And also, now that I think about this a bit more, I must have an ACX login because I did submit an Audition back when they had such things.

As we go.
