Re: Timed Recording Failed?
I have my Macs set to never sleep as long as I'm connected to shore power. I do long critical events and I can't have it nodding off in the middle of something. I did a corporate recording once and I didn't plug in the power device right. Worse, I didn't check it. The Mac was in the last minute or s...

You can use the SOLO and MUTE buttons to the left of each track. Click one track SOLO and that track will play by itself.

Re: Distorted recording of lecture.
Failing that, you can use a stereo adapter for your computer. Use a stereo RCA to RCA cable like this ... http://www.amazon.com/RiteAV-RCA-Stereo-Audio-Cable/dp/B000UZ66YY/ref=lp_597546_1_19?ie=UTF8&qid=1357003322&sr=1-19 ... and connect that to a USB adapter like the Behringer UCA202 like t...

Re: Newbie audio programmer smoothing and windowing function
The far upper and lower strings on a piano are a little tricky. The low ones are springs with multiple harmonics and the upper ones are trios, but they're eight inches long and the hammer hit is a significant part of the sound. Hammer hits don't have pitch. You know Audacity doesn't do anything in r...

Re: how do i set my mic to..
The bleed is probably because you're recording Stereo-Mix or one of the other devices instead of the actual Mic-In. Check out the Windows Control Panels and make sure the right thing is selected. Also check out the Audacity Device Toolbar: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/device_toolbar.html The...

For that particular cut, oooooooExtract, I used this equalizer: <equalizationeffect> <curve name="carnegieHall"> <point f="42.336273433706" d="-0.235427856445"/> <point f="53.745105458215" d="9.349777221680"/> <point f="75.574708250567" d=&...

Re: Fixing a "Tinny" recording
I would have to get the sound from the different cameras to sound the same so I could merge them seamlessly? That would be yes. In addition, you would need to go in point by point and cover up people snapping their fingers to the beat and dropping Coke bottles on the floor. Can't take any more than...

Re: Fixing a "Tinny" recording
It's actually not that bad but it does have audience in there, too. The sound recording is clean except for the horrendous distortion. A voice from Video Editing: "Sound kills more shows than video." There I can help. Throw a little stereo separation enhancer in there (which I can't find) ...
