Can you light that up a little more? From your library? Download? From where?when I transfer either mp3 or wav files
Do you have to be doing anything? Load a sound file and go for coffee. Does it still crash?

Another note: Music CDs (the kind that play in your car) are stereo. Full stop. But you can make a Data CD (like a flat, shiny hard drive) and put many different files on that. You could have multiple sound files on that kind of disk. Koz

We did a recording with another individual----not sure of the equipment-----recorded using 4 tracks I think we need to know a lot more about that part. A very natural thing would be to record four different microphones, but then mix them down to a stereo sound file for delivery to the client -- you...

Audacity always works at 32-float internally in order to avoid damage during filters and special effects. When you Export your show, Audacity creates a whole new sound file, divorced from the one that came in. This will probably affect you little or not at all, but it kills the people trying to edit...

If you have a stereo, L and R track, you can use the menus from the left pulldown to "Split Stereo Track." From there you can do anything you want to the two separated tracks.
