If you don't, do ...

Re: Question

when I transfer either mp3 or wav files

Do you have to be doing anything? Load a sound file and go for coffee. Does it still crash?

Re: Mixing a recording from a master cd recorded by other eq

Another note: Music CDs (the kind that play in your car) are stereo. Full stop. But you can make a Data CD (like a flat, shiny hard drive) and put many different files on that. You could have multiple sound files on that kind of disk. Koz

Re: Mixing a recording from a master cd recorded by other eq

We did a recording with another individual----not sure of the equipment-----recorded using 4 tracks I think we need to know a lot more about that part. A very natural thing would be to record four different microphones, but then mix them down to a stereo sound file for delivery to the client -- you...

What are you playing back into and did you change it? Are you playing to your internal speakers? New USB Headphones? Describe your system. Koz

Re: Question on importing audio files

Audacity always works at 32-float internally in order to avoid damage during filters and special effects. When you Export your show, Audacity creates a whole new sound file, divorced from the one that came in. This will probably affect you little or not at all, but it kills the people trying to edit...

Re: I have a latency/reverb? delay on my recorded audio

If you have a stereo, L and R track, you can use the menus from the left pulldown to "Split Stereo Track." From there you can do anything you want to the two separated tracks.

Re: Help with recording

Select a bit of the work and post it here for us to look at. Include that clipped portion http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=64936 You can't actually repair clipping. That's like a bowl of different fruits with one piece missing -- and then finding software to "repair the ho...
