Not entirely. We can't tell anybody else what you did to cure the problem. The forum is a group dialog. KozAll's well that ends well.

Oh wait. You're on a Mac. I don't have any handy software for that. Koz

Re: Batch fade-ins & outs?
Audacity doesn't actually edit MP3 files. It imports them as a separate file type and then exports a whole new MP3 when it's done. This means the compression sound damage always goes up when you edit MP3 music in Audacity.
Try MP3Splt.

Re: Equalizing or Normalizing even sound for wav
That's what Chris's Compressor does. http://theaudacitytopodcast.com/chriss-dynamic-compressor-plugin-for-audacity/ It simulates a broadcast compressor system that squeezes everything into the same volume. It does change the character of some songs, but that's how they work. The other tools like Eff...

Re: .aup files
Yes. AUP isn't a sound file. It's a project manager and it needs the _DATA folder with the same name.
MyMusic.aup
MyMusic_data (folder)
The _data folder actually has the show in bits and pieces.
Do you have both the aup file and the _data folder?

Re: Reusing voice
The other more painful way to do it is cold read the whole new voice and copy/cut and paste your brains out. That does work. Koz

Re: Reusing voice
You can fake a ping pong conversation in post production, but I'm trying to think of a good way to do it with the minimum of fuss. You can use the Overdubbing tools working a second conversation against the first, but chances of getting each exchange to exactly match in time is almost zero and it do...

Re: Reusing voice
You're going to need to get more specific. It sounds suspiciously like you're trying to bring a bad Skype recording back to life by artificially recreating the live ping pong conversation in the studio. That's perfectly valid, but we can't "morph" anything. If you don't have access to both...

Re: Recording to USB flash drive
From our experiences in video, live production on external USB devices is usually not successful because of the USB half-duplex nature. Bidirectional Firewire is much better and you can sometimes get away with that, but both are left in the dust by internal drives. And people sometimes have trouble ...

Re: Adding a kazoo effect
Would that work? http://www.kozco.com/tech/clips/kazoo-voice.wav That's an existing voice I had for another project. Effect > Low Pass Filter, 36dB, 0.7071, 300Hz Effect > Amplify > OK Effect > Leveler, Heaviest, -70dB > OK Effect > Leveler, Heaviest, -70dB > OK If you mess with the Low Pass Filter ...
