Re: Error Saving Project
You can Export it as a multi-channel WAV file with "Other Uncompressed FIle Types" and get it back that way. You can also Select each stereo track and Export Selected. Again, please? You used external sound files in your show and the system can't find them? After Exporting the work, I'd pr...

Re: Trying to create soundwave that looks like a 'heartbeat'
OK, so you're stuck making appropriate waves. Like I said in the disclaimer, the waves I used in the illustration are not the waves for the words "HELLO." Nobody is going to forensically analyze the work and call you on it. An actual heartbeat is a complex wave, it's not ripples-in-a-pond ...

Re: Trying to create soundwave that looks like a 'heartbeat'
I initially used the eye-dropper tool to sample the blue waves and make the word the same colour, but that didn't read well, so Made it progressively darker until it worked.

Re: Trying to create soundwave that looks like a 'heartbeat'
It's a little fake. That's not the waves for the word "Hello," but nobody has to know that. Hollywood at its best.

Re: Trying to create soundwave that looks like a 'heartbeat'
And then bow up the timeline really big, screen capture the blue waves, import the picture into Photoshop and overlay the words on top of the blue waves. Print Legal or Ledger if your computer does it. Grand idea. Where are you stuck? You don't need a top quality microphone for this. You can do it w...

Re: Newbie needs help
I changed your email address. It's a bad idea to post a real address on the forum. We get crawlers looking for addresses to commercialize. Are any of your songs available on-line anywhere? You can post a really short segment of music on the forum. http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=49&...
Re: HELP
I disguised your email address. It's dangerous to expose it on the forum. We get a lot of people wanting to send you Spam and unwanted email. You may be better served with the built-in microphone on your laptop than trying to use a cordless phone as a microphone. Phones tend to have ratty microphone...

Re: Can I soften claps and coughs and boost the rest of the
We applaud your sane, rational method of dealing with this. People generally post they want us to cure their presentation distortions having already tried nothing. You might be able to use the compression tools. Their job is to soften the high points without much affecting the low volume areas, so t...
