Re: Attempting to Record LFN.. Help!
Now we need the control clip on a night without the rumble. Same settings so we do a direct comparison. Koz

Re: Attempting to Record LFN.. Help!
I did a simple amplify and analyze and there is a very significant bump at 19Hz -- just below where most people's hearing stops. It's the majority contribution in that sound clip. Nothing else comes close. You do have a lesser 49Hz bump which I attribute to the 50Hz power in your country. If I liste...

Does your MacBookPro have these connections? http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/MacLineIn.jpg Get one of these cables: http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/RCAMiniStereo.jpg And run that from the Line-Out of your mixer into the Line-In of your Mac. That's the circle with two black arrows. Launch A...

Re: Works in iTunes but not on iPod???

You can see the song on the little screen, right? do you get the arrow play icon? Does it seem to be playing just nothing comes out? Where does si...

Re: USB mic not recognized input source?
Macs don't need the big fuss of loading drivers. Your microphone should just be there. Plug in the mic and give the computer a second to chew on it, then launch Audacity. Does that mic have any lights on the front? Do they light up?

Re: saving wav as 48000hz
Duplicate the track (Control-D? I'm not on a Windows machine). Use the dropdown to the left of the track (little black arrow) > Make Stereo Track. You can change Audacity "permanently" by Edit > Preferences > Quality: 48000 > OK. The next time you open your show, it should default (lower l...

Re: Recording mic/stereo mix at the same time
I know it's possible to do with Skype and some Skype recording programs, but I'm wondering if Audacity can do it, too, with any windows sound. This is a hot topic and we're going with no. You happened to luck out. Are you on Windows XP? You'll find if you upgrade that a lot of these services are lo...

Re: music speeding up and slowing down
The first thing the other elves are going to tell you is stop using the older Audacity. You're getting up in the morning to an Audacity that is no longer supported and can have serious operational problems. I've never seen this affect with capturing internet audio, but it's fairly common on Windows ...
