Never send an audio bitstream through a USB hub. They cause sound damage. Audio equipment needs a USB home run.
You can use a wall-powered USB hub to help a USB audio device if it has problems, but you can't plug anything else in the hub if you do that.

Re: Behringer UFO202 vs ART USB Phono Plus
I don't think any of us is in a position to do exhaustive analysis and comparisons of the two units. This is a rag-tag army of volunteers for a free audio program. It's not a corporation and it's not a help desk. I can do reviews of stuff I actually own, but past that, I'm as much of a slave of the ...

Re: Audio "blips"
Yes, this was a constant problem -- on broken computers. Audacity is a complete slave to whatever the computer is doing. If the computer sound services cannot keep up with the transmission or show, then it will produce holes or other damage and that's what Audacity will record. You can take that ups...

Re: Bringing Basslines out in mp3's
You join a long list of people who want to split off instruments from a mixed song and do things to the instruments. It's not easy. Even though the notes you're playing are very different from the other instruments, the overtones, harmonics, bowing, and plucking sounds are not. All that extra stuff ...

I exported in wav as specified. The CD recorded perfectly I was getting sound through my PC . When I exported the file all my windows sound crashed. Let me read this back to you. "I exported sound and it worked perfectly and I exported sound and my computer crashed." How did you make the C...

You missed an important item. Recording what? It's not unusual for on-line services to act funny if the internet connection isn't up to real time transmission. I bet if you tried to record a local microphone or other sound source, this problem doesn't happen. Koz

Re: Which mixer?
Peavey PV6 that Koz mentioned It's simple. I have to put these things in places where they are used by non audio people. I think we're up to eight now and I own one. Remember if you go with a USB mixer, you have to figure out whether or not it supports live monitoring. Many of them don't. You need ...

Re: Behringer UFO202 vs ART USB Phono Plus
I don't think either one requires ASIO to work. They're both simple digital converters. I don't think there's any question the Art is the better of the devices. Just having a volume control is a big plus.
We're extraordinarily unlikely to find someone who has both.

Re: Attempting to Record LFN.. Help!
Except this one which is rated correct to 15Hz and has no design feature to limit low frequencies.may not be recordable using a regular microphone,
Audacity, of course, will record frequencies down to battery voltage.
