Are you doing it with Stereo-Mix or one of the other self-recording techniques, or are you using a jumper cable between Line-In and Line-Out? Can you download the movie? If you install FFMpeg into Audacity, it will open many movie formats.

Re: How to retrieve .aup data
The name of the _data folder should be the name of the .aup file. If MyMusic_data is the name of the folder, then MyMusic.aup should be the name of the file. AUP is the project manager. It's the only one that knows how to reassemble all those little AU files. Did you put dates or punctuation marks i...

Re: mp3HD format?
Audacity will open MP3 by itself, but requires the "lame" software package to be installed in order to make an MP3. So whatever lame can do, Audacity can do. If it's an advanced MP3 format (I think you can do a surround version now), it's possible that the FFMpeg software may be used. That...

Re: Distorted recording via IDJ2 and Behringer 202
microphone socket If you ever got that to work, then you got lucky. Highly Distorted is normal. Mic-In is Very Sensitive, prone to overloading and distortion -- and usually mono, not stereo. This is the typical and usually only use for Mic-In. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/computerAnalogMicrop...

Re: Help requested regarding error message
It's an open-ended complaint. It just says it thinks Audacity can't open a way to record or play. We did write about a number of ways to investigate possible solutions.

We wrote about this.

I swear there's another software package we use -- or you use. I'm on a Mac.

I think I see one problem. Astroburn does not claim to burn Audio CDs. You'll need one of the Windows people for software variations. Sorry. Koz

Re: Problem playing tracks in order
Almost without question you burned a DATA disk and not a Music or Audio disk. Because of that, the sound segments would have presented in order of filename and not theatrical order -- and maybe not even that. You are strongly urged to use CD-R and not any of the other variations. CD-R is a standard,...

Re: How do get an out-of-tune effect on Audacity?
Just a note, you want the AM Radio detune affect, right? That very high whistle and then the voices get all crisp and then you get the next station? That's really hard to do with tools and effects not designed to do that, particularly because the effect fades in over time as you move the tuning knob...

Re: how to start audio automatically on startup of audaity
I doubt it. Audacity doesn't have very good remote access tools or command-line tools and the batch tools are just OK.
You can use Audacity to split up your stereo track into pieces and then make a new stereo track with just the work that you actually want. Would that help?
