Are you doing it with Stereo-Mix or one of the other self-recording techniques, or are you using a jumper cable between Line-In and Line-Out? Can you download the movie? If you install FFMpeg into Audacity, it will open many movie formats.

It's an open-ended complaint. It just says it thinks Audacity can't open a way to record or play. We did write about a number of ways to investigate possible solutions.

Almost without question you burned a DATA disk and not a Music or Audio disk. Just a note, you want the AM Radio detune affect, right? That very high whistle and then the voices get all crisp and then you get the next station? That's really hard to do with tools and effects not designed to do that, particularly because the effect fades in over time as you move the tuning knob...

I doubt it. Audacity doesn't have very good remote access tools or command-line tools and the batch tools are just OK.

You can use Audacity to split up your stereo track into pieces and then make a new stereo track with just the work that you actually want. Would that help?
