It's a standing problem. Not only is it invisible but it has no name. Click on "that little black arrow on the left of the track." That's it's name. TLBAOTLOTT.

Try your best Darth Vader with your own voice and Effect > Change Pitch and go down one or two notes.

Re: I want to print an Audacity manual, a COMPLETE manual
A note about open-source, free software. Programming Audacity is a lot of fun and there are a number people working on it. Writing the book sucks and there is a very tiny number of people working on it. The books always lag the program version sometimes by a lot. We're perfectly happy to get any doc...

Re: I want to print an Audacity manual, a COMPLETE manual
Did you install Audacity? That may seem a strange question, but it's possible to run Audacity without installing it. Do you have this folder: Go (top of the desktop) > Applications > audacity folder? (lower case "a") Really odd things can happen if you try to run Audacity from the download...

Re: Help overdubbing please.
I have the following data, Instrumental track, vocal track, drum track and so on. At the end of the wave I have all the tracks mixed together. That part didn't come out right. The Tascam (DP004, not DP04) produced multiple individual instrument tracks one above the other, or the only Tascan export ...

Re: Removing a channel from a stereo track
Someone is going to post that you should leave a single track alone and Drop Down Menu > Mono. Real Mono tracks will play through both speakers on stereo systems and are half as large.

Re: Removing a channel from a stereo track
Drop-down menu on the left of the track > Split Stereo Track. [X] out the bad track (on the left). Select the track remaining ( click just above the MUTE button.) Edit > Duplicate. Drop Down on the left > Make Stereo Track. There is a simple and convenient way to make a stereo track into mono, but n...

You need to get the English words right. Just burning a CD will give you more of what you have. You need a program that will create an Audio CD. Kozprogram tomorrow that will allow me to burn a CD

Re: Record to same track
My Spidey Sense tells me you're concerned with creating a simple finished song when your edit has multiple tracks. Audacity will mix your show down to one stereo track when you export. If you Save a Project to work on it later, remember that Audacity does not save UNDO.

Re: Easily Split Muti-Segmented Recording?
our 'service' to one track and our 'songs' to another track. We may be having two different conversations. Multiple track recording in Audacity is relatively difficult, so can we assume what you're really doing is recording one stereo track with the service on Left and the songs on Right? The recom...
