Re: Internal and External Recording at the Same Time

So the question boils down of how to record both sides of Skype. Pamela Professional and Pamela Business are designed to record local sound on one side of a stereo track and the remote voice on the other. The other two Pamela licenses are intentionally crippled to make you upgrade. http://www.pamela...

Re: Karaoke plugin?

Same thing. You can try that video on YouTube with the splitting and phase flipping and all, or you can use Effect > Vocal Remover which is the same thing rolled up into one tool. If Effect > Vocal Removal didn't work, chances are good no other software is going to work, either. You need to start wi...

Re: Noise Removal Problem

I don't get cracking in the second clip, but I can certainly see where you might. The "s" sounds of the performer are very crisp, pronounced and harsh. Also, the frequency run of the performance has a "valley of death" notch around 3KHz. Tones around 3KHz will just be missing. Bo...

Re: analog High resolution output and recording?

I Played 70kHz from another dedicated audio player Had you said "a dedicated test instrument" I'd be a lot happier. "Audio players" have to cut corners. 44100 is not good to 20 KHz like everybody keeps insisting. It's only guaranteed good to 17 KHz (Nyquist 2.6) and it's pretty ...

Re: analog High resolution output and recording?

I have external test equipment (General Radio, Hewlet-Packard, Tektronix etc,) accurate out to 100KHz audio. What were you planning on doing? The sound card analog is good to 90 KHz according to the web site. You can't actually hear anything past about 15KHz or so (depending on how old you are). We ...

Re: newbie...totally lost..please help

Some Mac installs insist on putting music into the System folders. Not a good idea. I make it a point to always manage files from the desktop.

Re: imic input from old voice recorder

You may be way overthinking this. Does your MBP have an analog input like the circle with two black arrows?

Is it an MPB? Which machine and how big?

We arrived in the middle of the second act. I have some home-made movie DVDs..?? I'm trying to rip BlockBuster Video DVD movies..?? I'm trying to edit camera-burned Data DVDs..?? You have a collection of very highly unlikely symptoms so we need to know more background. What exactly are you doing? Koz
