Audacity > Edit > Preferences > Devices > Recording.
Select your USB microphone.

Re: Find my vocal range?
Meet Joseph Fourier. We can totally tell you which tones you're singing. The problem, if you're a rich, full, pleasant contralto is you're not just singing "C." You're singing quite a number of them each related to the others by harmonics, multiples, and overtones. This is one single piano...

XP didn't try to manage the sound channels like Win7 does. You're going to have to figure that out no matter whose software you use or which version.

Re: Trying to do a multitrack recording
Multi-Track - Overdubbing always creates a new track. The value of Overdubbing is the ability to change or filter one instrument independently of all the others.

Re: Hello Need Help With Recording
Recording your voice isn't easy. Export some of your voice by itself as a high-quality MP3 (256 quality or better) and post it here. We can't judge your microphone if we can't hear it.

Re: missing audio data block file(s)
Audacity can produce a Project which is an AUP text file and a _DATA folder with the show in tiny pieces. These only open in Audacity. Audacity will also Export standard sound files like WAV and MP3. It sounds like you saved a Project. Did you leave the AUP file and the _DATA folder in the same plac...

Re: Cant load Audio from SD card
Some sound formats have a dividing line at the 2GB boundary and another one at 4GB. Microsoft WAV has this which is why it's not an open-ended format. That's the only thing I can think of. Koz
