Re: USB Audio Recording Glitches (2.0.3, Win7)
moved to using my somewhat more recent build Yes, but did you change the machine? Do you have your preamp plugged into wall power, or is it getting its operating voltages from the USB? We're talking about the "rough road" patches right? Initially, I thought you were talking about the tics...

Re: Recording from Yama Keyboard
Stereo Line-In and Mic-In are not only expecting very different signal levels, Mic-In is generally mono, not stereo, so they are going to sound different. Mic-In usually only gives you the "left" side of your show sometimes duplicated so it seems like you have two channels of sound, but bo...

Re: Audacity 2.0.3
Audacity is "sticky" and once installed it takes special effort to make sure it's gone when you uninstall. It was done this way to make upgrading a simple process, but it can make troubleshooting harder.

Re: Cannot get a audio CD of exported music to play
Sometimes the burn speed and the maker of the CD will cause better or worse success in burning music CDs, but it's usually a case of skipping or other distortion, not "the disk will not play at all," although that happens, too. So getting more disks is not going to help. Get a small quanti...

Re: sizzle removal?
The performance is badly overloaded and clipped. There is not enough clear sound to rescue. The rescue tools are all designed to help a good show a little bit. Clip Fix can be valuable if you have one short clip every minute and Noise Removal only works on shows with very gentle noises. Audacity can...

Re: Recording voice for 2-day workshop
More common mistakes. If you have the opportunity, Save several different Projects. Don't just keep piling up more and more show into one Project. Do Not use punctuation marks in filenames. Upper and lower case letters, numbers, underscore, and dash are the only unconditionally safe characters. Do N...

Re: Recording voice for 2-day workshop

I think you can even use the hot keys to make it even faster yet. On my machines, Command-S. Yours will be different. You need to kn...

I don't have an audacity.cfg and you may not either. There's instructions in that posting how to make one.

Re: Trying to do a multitrack recording
can I have a guitar track and seperately, a vocal track on Audacity. Yes. Two separate tracks one above the other. The one under those two is the violin track and the one underneath all those can be the Hammond Organ. Each one can be muted or soloed as you wish and each one can be filtered or have ...
