Re: AIFF files will not play on iPod, will on iTunes
All AIFF files will fail to play on a stand-alone iPod? Short, long, it doesn't make any difference? If you prepare your work in WAV, open it in iTunes and use iTunes to convert to AIFF, do those play? I think you can use QuickTime Pro to convert as well if you have that. I'm wondering if it makes a...

Re: Constant ticking throughout my recordings
Probably not the microphone. Is it USB? Did you connect the microphone through a USB hub? Can you tell if the ticks happen in the same place every time you play the work?

Re: Blue Yeti and recording tips, levels, advice etc.
It will always sound better without noise removal (or any other patches or filters) so figure out a way to move the computer to another area or behind a sofa or something. Don't block any air vents. Is the voice boomy because your speakers or headphones are boomy? I have a pair of Sony headphones th...

Re: Blue Yeti and recording tips, levels, advice etc.
I can't find anything serious wrong with it. There's a slight background frying, but I'm not shocked because you're talking through the game sound, the microphone natural noise, Audacity dither and the YouTube compression. That and I had to turn the noise up to hear it, so that's not significant. Yo...

Re: lost long session
The .AUP file is the Audacity Project Manager. It's a relatively short text file and it tells Audacity what to do with all the stuff inside the _DATA folder. The _DATA folder holds the show in snippets and fragments. The AUP file and the _DATA folder must be in the same place or folder for the show ...

Re: Distortion when attempting to record church service
Describe the system more. You have a multi-channel analog sound mixer (choir, sermon, service, etc.) and it connects to the computer how? Don't leave anything out. You missed one important part. You only get the distortion occasionally when you boot the computer fresh on Sunday morning and nobody ca...

Re: keyboard shortcut to amplify
I'm going with no because Amplify takes arguments and settings. It's not one thing.

Re: Creating Virtualization, and Separating Vocals......
That's usually done by grouping the existing vocal tracks into the left channel and grouping the existing instrumental tracks into the right channel during mixdown and post-production into the final show. Unfortunately, the process doesn't work in reverse. You can't start with a mixed, finished show...
