Re: lost long session
Left out a step. You have to post some of the work. Since this is not Error Diagnostics any more, you can use mono, high quality MP3 (128 quality or better) and get quite a number of seconds posted on the forum. If you want to post a more serous, longer sample at even higher quality, I can host it o...

And after four or five of those and recovering from some silly mistakes, you will.

Re: Punch-In Noise
In general we consider "Punch In" when you select anywhere on an existing show or timeline or even during playback and press record. That's it. The recorder will start immediately to cover up and destroy everything to the right of your Punch-In point. Analog recorders did this and transpla...

Re: lost long session
Are you starting to look a little like that? Screen shot 2013-05-11 at 10.33.42 PM.png I was surprised at one of the meetings when I was introduced to a woman "fish pole" operator. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/Boom.jpg I asked her if she had any trouble with the upper body strength n...

Re: lost long session
There is a lot about the Mac that doesn't care, but it's still really bad form to put show data in /Applications and applications on the /Desktop for just two examples. You can cause serious Mac problems by doing that trick to the wrong folder. You did it. Save the Project to your desktop, mount the...

Re: Blue Yeti and recording tips, levels, advice etc.
Exactly. The bounce effect is roughly similar to talking down a cardboard mailing tube. The sound should "open up" a little and sound more natural without the computer noise, the hard surfaces, and without Noise Removal. This was another sound shoot where I was totally obsessive about refl...

Re: Trouble installing audacity
I don't think this is an Audacity problem. I think that message is coming from one of your other sound programs that is conflicting with Audacity. Koz

Re: Blue Yeti and recording tips, levels, advice etc.
So you're saying I should avoid noise removal completely? No [said with a quizzical voice]. Noise Removal always causes sound damage. Always. Your job is to manage all the settings and sliders in the tool to minimize the damage. Your real job is to make it so you don't need Noise Removal at all. Yo...

Re: How to record sound thro mic in windows 7
Windows XP did not try to carefully manage all the sound services like Win7 does. We need to wait for one of the Windows people. I'm on a Mac.
