A note, both of these microphones are designed to plug into listed Olympus personal reorders, meaning you can make recordings with the whole thing, including the phone in your pocket.

Re: Getting started to convert LP to computer
Next time plug the turntable in a completely set it up and then start Audacity. The Audacity Preferences should show a Device that says USB in it or mentions turntable or something not Windows related. If no matter what you do nothing like that shows up, you may need your receipts for a refund. Did ...

Re: generating inaudible freqs
Lots of really nasty things happen when you get beyond audible frequencies. For one thing, your soundcard stops working unless you bought a really fancy one or you're outputting around the card. All the analysis tools drop dead, so you'll be inspecting your work with the magnifier and a calculator. ...

Re: Cant hear my previous recording whitout recording it twi
That happens when you record from Stereo Mix or other service like that instead of the actual microphone or performance sound system. You are recording "Everything On The Computer" rather than your microphone. This is the setting you need to record Internet Audio, so it's a common mistake....

Re: Help with vocals.
No. Plosives act funny with directional microphones and it's really hard to get rid of the damage. There's a Big Red Flag that goes up whenever a poster starts the message with: "Can you help me clean up..." Almost never. It's not impossible. You'll only wish it was. You sing the damaged p...

Re: Strange frequency through microphone
Noise Removal doesn't usually do what everybody wants. It removes noise perfectly as long as you're not speaking or removes noise from everything and distorts voices. Pick one. Make a really bad recording and post a little of it here so we can taste it. http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=...

Re: How to convert a WAV file to a G729 format
If you install the FFMpeg software, Audacity will export G.726. That's as close as I could get.
