Re: Question about the Mix & Render function
I would Save Project As: before you get too deep into this. If Audacity goes face-first into the mud, you don't want to lose your production work so far. Koz

Re: Question about the Mix & Render function
It looked like a clickable option in the video you posted. I've never had it fail. Try selecting both tracks before you click. Click just above the mute button and then Shift-Click above the mute button on the second track. Then go for the option. This may not work if you have two technically comple...

Re: loss of recording quality after a few seconds
That "everything is OK for the first few seconds" thing is very very typical of voice conferencing processing. Video and audio conferencing hates music. The software sees a sustained musical note as air conditioning noise and tries to cancel it out -- usually taking the song with it. So if...

Re: How to check bit depth and sample rate of MOGG file ?
Audacity is not big on "Clip Info." If you need to know about a clip or other sound file, you'll have to do it outside or before you import it.

Re: Export Multiple 5.1 channel
How hard can it be to implement anyway? Are you volunteering to write it? The real question is how hard is it to get on the Audacity Patch List along with about half a billion other changes. Remember this isn't a corporation with a polished circular driveway and a fountain in the middle. It's a rag...

Re: Removing (not reducing) Mouth Noises.
That's not a long enough piece to tell the relationship between the normal voice and the clicks. If they are very low, then yes, the noise gate is indicated, but if they are loud enough to be annoying -- or you wouldn't be posting -- then you're left with suppressing them manually. The Noise Gate ma...

Re: Export Multiple 5.1 channel
The Audacity instructions expect this to work and we have had postings from people where it did. http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Advanced_Mixing_Options You should give us all your versions of everything. Which Windows, Which Audacity, etc. Stay from adjectives like "the latest." Do you...

Re: unsupported sample rate
If I had to guess at it, I'd say it's because Audacity is not a scientific instrument or WAV editor. It's an audio production editor and there's very little entertaining music below 1500Hz. Every so often somebody will complain bitterly that Audacity doesn't maintain bit-accurate digital clips throu...
